Former Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart pens story about football, life

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart has penned a book about his life and football career. The book is set to be released on March 25, 2016. “I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Kordell for well over a decade,” says Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. “His love for life, his passion for others, and his consistency in being the man he was called to be is more than admirable. Over the years, I’ve witnessed him walk through the storms of life and deal with the juvenility of people, but he continues to be the nice, sincere, kind-hearted man I always knew. He does not compromise his values or harbor resentment toward others. Kordell knows his truth and lives it out.” In Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story, Stewart opens up about his often-discussed personal life, the thrills and challenges that he experienced in his football career, and the lessons he learned through the highs and lows of his journey. Though Stewart’s life has involved pain and frustration, he chooses to see the glass half full despite the loss he has experienced or the rumors that have been spread about him. Readers will enjoy the behind-the-scenes stories he shares from the University of Colorado and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and will be encouraged by his lively personality, winsome humor, and positive outlook on life, no matter what unfolds. “Kordell has been the epitome of a great role model,” writes sports agent Leigh Steinberg in the book’s foreword. “His love of God, family, and friends has never wavered. He is a committed and loving father to his son, Syre. As you read his inner feelings regarding his journey, remember this: Kordell has never stopped trying to bring happiness to those around him. Think of a ray of sunshine, and you get the essence of Kordell Stewart.” Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story is available on Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, and TheCoreMediaGroup.com.
